HH 211 is a Herbig-Haro object driven by a very young star in Perseus. Webb’s NIRCam image reveals a narrow bipolar jet and bow shocks where outflowing material collides with surrounding gas.
The composition is graphic and cinematic, with the jet stretching across a dark field like a luminous axis of stellar birth.
